Chris' Verdict On Priceless: 6/10- "I did not really see the fuss about
Amelie and I do not see the fuss about this latest French film. It is a
decent and enjoyable movie but not a classic. Priceless is worth renting
but not going to see at the cinema."

Ellie's Verdict On Priceless: 8/10- "I love French films and for me
Priceless is excellent French comedy! It is funny throughout. The humour
is witty and tasteful. Audrey Tautou was great and Priceless is worth
going to see."

Priceless Review

A French subtitled film named ‘Hors de Prix’ in France. The cast which
includes the stunning of Audrey Tautou seen in ‘The Da Vinci Code’ and
Glad Elmal e h is a comedy unique to British cinemas. As with the ‘Amélie’,
which was a huge success in Britain, I personally can see the same for
‘Priceless’.

A hotel waiter falls in love with Audery Tautou who mistakes him for a
famous millionaire. In an attempt to get as much money as she can from
him the plot is funny in a stereotypical French manner, as seen in
‘Amélie’ and ‘Love me if you dare’.

Tautou gives a fantasic performance in ‘Priceless’. She is no longer the
innocent characters she played in ‘The Da Vinci Code’ and ‘Amélie’, in
fact her scenes in ‘Priceless’ portray her character as heartless yet
likeable. As with any French film there is a lot of sex which at times
seems too much for the plot.

Overall, it was great to see a French film in a British cinema. I personally
enjoyed this film and really would consider buying it on DVD. For men,
perhaps this is not their cup of tea. It is hardly a romantic comedy but
even so the thought of subtitles and portrayal of this film may be more
suited to females. I’ve kept the review short so there is space to adapt
your own thoughts and to not spoil the plot. For anyone who doesn’t
mind a bit of culture of who enjoyed ‘Amélie’ this film certainly is for you!
