P.S I Love You Review

This film sports an interesting cast including Lisa Kudrow and promises to be one of
the best romantic comedies of the year. However, not as a tragedy which the film soon
becomes, following the death of Hilary Swank’s Irish husband.

P.S I Love You is one of the saddest films that I have ever seen. All of the actors play
their roles brilliantly and the actors bounce off each other brilliantly. There is plenty of
humour that is paramount in a film with so much misery. After the funeral of her
husband Hilary Swank turns into a depressed alone woman. However, she soon
releases that her husband has left her a series of letters that get delivered all year
round along with various trips planned such as her visit to Ireland.

There are hundreds of moments that will leave the more sensitive viewer sobbing
throughout. In between these moments the film acts as a romantic comedy with plenty
of humour and the makings of an ordinary film.

The romance is often the most traumatising part of the film as the dead husband is
able to make the most romantic gestures imaginable. There is a twist  in the film but i
won’t let on in case you wish to see the film. If you are in a miserable mood or have a
girlfriend or even boyfriend who is easily upset then i would not recommend you seeing
this film.

This film is good although it is very intense and there is arguably not enough humour
when compared to the amount of sorrow the audience has to deal with. The film is
relatively long and quite mentally draining and probably more suited to an older
audience. It is worth seeing but you should have tissues at the ready.
